Rebuilding a Manhole in Pomona
Description
A Federal agency needed a construction company to rebuild a large, 12-foot by 12-foot manhole in Pomona, just outside Atlanta City, New Jersey. It was a competitive, public bid, and Danella was awarded the project.
Project Details
- Danella Line Services removed the existing, deteriorating wall in the manhole and extended the length of the manhole wall as specified by the client, and then rebuilt the wall.
- From the newly reconstructed manhole, Danella ran critical conduits to a nearby power station.
- In a separate federal project, Danella was hired to install precast manholes and run additional conduits from the holes. The top-security assignment involved several thousand feet of work.
Vital Work
Danella crews place hundreds of manholes and handholes each year. As with this federal project, Line Service crews are trained to precast designs or field cast individual manholes to specific project needs. Danella’s strict security clearance and safety precautions makes the company particularly attractive to high-security clients, who return to the company again and again.
