Danella Construction Corp of Pennsylvania welcomes Bill Cropf to our team as a Senior Project Manager. Bill joined Danella in late March.
Can you tell us a little bit about your background? I attended Drexel University and received dual degrees in Civil Engineering and Architectural Engineering. For the past 20 years, I have enjoyed a career in the construction industry. I have had the great pleasure in being a key team member in building world-class healthcare facilities in the Tri-state area. In addition to being the lead project manager on various projects, I also was integral in developing organizational procedures and implementing them throughout various business units around the country.
What are three unusual or fun facts about yourself?
1. My wife and I have 4 incredible children.
2. The family is completed with our three dogs and three cats.
3. When help is needed, I lend a hand at the veterinary clinics that our family operates.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up and how has that impacted your career? From the time I was child, I knew that I wanted to build things. I would spend hours building with anything I could get my hands on. As I grew up, it became evident that I wanted to pursue a career in architecture and engineering.
What compelled you into your field of work? I had an opportunity to try various work within the engineering field. When I had the opportunity to manage the process of construction, I knew that all of my skill sets could be met with this career path.
What is your proudest moment in your career? I feel the proudest moment in my career is when a project is completed and I know the project is going to serve a greater good for the public.
Can you describe your current role at Danella? My current role at Danella is to help lead the day-to-day operations at DCC-PA. I look forward to working with the DCC-PA team on growing the current operations, continuing to provide high quality service to our clients, and to increase the overall profitability of the division.
