Since 2004, Danella Companies has worked to help each student at John H. Webster Elementary School have the opportunity for success. Primarily Danella supports the Kindergarten through Second Grade students through donations and encouraging each students’ talents.
The culture of Webster is built around the 3 R’s: be responsible, be respectful, and be a role model. These students often come from poverty-stricken areas of the city and lack the essential supplies to achieve a proper education. Danella over the years has worked to help build up Webster’s learning environment. Donations have included school supplies, printer paper, reading libraries, field trips, and an end of the year party. We have also helped to provide school uniforms for students and provided gift cards to the principal to be used at their discretion.
The primary work that Danella does with Webster, however, is the Christmas Project. The project which supports both Webster Elementary School and LaSalle Academy result in donations of gifts to each school thanks to many Danella vendors’ support. The program started with getting presents for one classroom, and other companies sponsored additional classrooms. Over the last 13 years, Danella’s support has grown to help over 400 students in Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade, and Intellectual Disability classrooms at Christmas time. The Kindergartens and First Grade are both given stockings and drawstring bags with winter hats and mittens, learning materials, books, coloring books, and snacks. Each Kindergartener is also gifted a game from Santa. The First Grade receives a gift that they request from Santa through their letters they write to the jolly man. Danella employees each donate these personalized gifts for the children. Second Grade classrooms are also gifted chapter books to encourage reading at home during the winter break.
As a company, Danella is proud to support John H. Webster Elementary School in any way needed.
