Villanova Scholarship Opportunity

Giving back and growing forward

At Danella Companies we are proud to sponsor the children of Danella and students from Southeastern Pennsylvania communities in gaining a higher education at Villanova University.

A 1971 graduate of Villanova University, Jim Danella and his father created the James D. and Carmen A. Danella Endowed Scholarship at Villanova in 1996 to celebrate student merit. As one of the top 50 national universities according to U.S. News and World Report, Villanova has on average 6,500 full-time undergraduate students in residence each academic year. Donors support over 1,600 incoming students to afford the quality education offered by the university. These sponsored students all hold on average a 3.55 GPA while completing rigorous course loads and actively engaging in campus life.

Qualification for the Danella scholarship is merit and need-based. Recipients of the scholarship must maintain a 3.0 GPA, and are awarded approximately $30,000 per year towards education costs. First and foremost, the scholarship is open to the children of Danella employees from all locations who are accepted to the school. If no employee’s child is accepted to Villanova for the year, the scholarship is open to a wider pool of student applicants from the Southeastern Pennsylvania counties.

“My Villanova degree [has] help significantly to prepare me for my postgraduate career and life. The academic experience and professional development for business have been instrumental to my success here and in the future.”

— Class of 2018 Graduate
