Philadelphia, PA – March 27, 2024

In March, Danella’s Joseph Spause, President, participated in the Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) “Working in the Field—The PGW Way” panel.

The PGW panel included personnel from local Philadelphia businesses addressing key areas of fieldwork within the gas industry as part of PGW’s Diverse Business Development Program (DBDP). The program, which was announced in October 2023, is meant to assist diverse and small business professionals to gain access, network, and grow. The nine-month education program currently includes 9 cohort members from small businesses in the Philadelphia region. Modules included in the education are meant to help new suppliers navigate the procurement process, learn how PGW operates in the City of Philadelphia, and refresh/learn about the natural gas industry. The March panel was part of module seven. As a guest speaker, Spause reflected, “It was a pleasure meeting with, and hosting, the participants of the PGW Diversity Supplier Cohort. All of us at Danella were very impressed and excited for future opportunities together.”

Danella is excited to support this program, which will open opportunities for new relationships with other local industry specialists. In early April, members from the cohort (pictured) were able to complete a facility tour of the 2290 Butler Pike building and a job site visit.
