Striving for Safety
Over the last several months, Danella has had the opportunity to participate in several safety training exercises.
In late June, we completed NUCA’s (National Utility Construction Association) Trench Safety Stand Down exercise which is meant to enforce a safer trench working environment by educating employees and managers of the dangers associated with trench work.
Additionally, after a lengthy screening process, Danella was approved by the Gold Shovel Standard (GSS) organization in late August. Prompted by our work with Con-Edison in New York, GSS will monitor our safety training with our employees and any accident reports to generate a score that will compare our organization to other Con-Edison contractors. The monitoring by GSS will help Danella continue to promote and enforce and environment which incorporates safety into everything we do.
